It is an "anthology of readings that reflect on the traditions, folklore and folklife in the region."

A Mardi Gras Dictionary
by Beverly B. Vidrine, Patrick Soper (Illustrator), Patrick Soper (Illustrator)

This book is meant for children, but I still found it interesting. Plus, it would be an extremely easy read. It "explains in dictionary format the history and traditions of the pre-Lenten celebration in Louisiana."
