Greatest Quarterback of the Past 25 Years
Much has been made about Peyton Manning recently as he tries to stake his claim as a Hall of Famer. Over the course of the Super Bowl, most of the media were claiming that a championship would send him to the status of not only a Hall of Famer, but also one of the best of all-time period. Here's your chance to voice your opinion by selecting who you think is the greatest quarterback of the past two and a half decades.

Hey, interesting topic no doubt. I don't think there is any question on who is the better quarterback. Look at the record holders, no where in any of the records will you see Peyton Manning's name accept bringing up the rear to all the other names listed in the poll. Yeah, Dan Marino never won the big won, but he currently holds the record for touchdowns and yards over his career, both of which will be broken by Favre tentitively in the next season. I'd say, let Manning play another 7 years and see where he is then. By that time if he is still playing like he is today without the players around him today, I would say, "Yeah Peyton Manning, he is one of the greatest quarterback of all time." That won't be said until after at least 7 years and him overcoming the issue of not having a Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne to throw to, because let's face it if Brett didn't have Sterling Sharpe early on in his career, he probably wouldn't be where he is today. Quarterbacks can't win it all themself, they need someone to block for them, and someone to catch the ball for them.
I disagree. Yeah you do need solid players around you, but great players find ways to win. Tom Brady keeps his team competitive year in and year out, regardless of who his receivers are. Having a great coach has helped him as well though. Sherman robbed Favre of a few good years, not to mention a shot at the Super Bowl, (4th & 26, how do you mess that up). Once Favre passes Marino's records it is only a matter of time before Manning overtakes Favre. I don't see Manning getting injured all that often either his style of play is super conservative, versus Favre's, (which makes Favre's record in games played all the more impressive). And as for Sterling Sharpe, he only played with Favre for what, about 3 years? I will say this about Favre, his rugged, gunslingin', lay it all on the line mentality has made him what he is today. And as far as characters go, Favre is one of a kind.
I like the topic, but I think the poll left out some of the all-time greats. the likes of Ryan Leaf, T.J. Rubley, and Rex Grossman instantly come to mind when I think of some of the greastest to ever step foot in a huddle.
